Yan Zhou is a research scientist in the Data Security and Privacy Lab at The University of Texas at Dallas. She received her DSc in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis.

Zhou's research focuses on developing robust machine learning techniques for problems where there are adversaries. She has also published work in the areas of semi-supervised learning, active learning, multiple instance learning, and compression-based classification.
