CD-ROMS in print 1987
Nelson N., Meckler Corporation, Westport, CT, 1987. Type: Book (9789780887361791)
Date Reviewed: Jun 1 1988

This publication covers one hundred CD-ROM products, from abstract file, applied science and technology index, and Globe and Mail to USSR Source 2000 and your marketing consultant-consumer.

In the introduction, the reader is informed about the CD-ROM market and trends. In the chapter containing the product directory, the information in each entry is arranged in the following order: version, type, demo availability, price, system requirements, search software, address, and telephone number. The publication would be more informative if a thematic description of each product were added. For those who are not well acquainted with this area, a glossary is attached. A list of company names and addresses and a title index conclude the publication. This book will be of value to librarians.
