Supporting distributed meetings using cooperative, visual, process-enabled hypermedia
Wang W., Haake J.  Hypertext and hypermedia (Proceedings of the thirteenth conference, College Park, Maryland, USA,2002.Type:Proceedings
Date Reviewed: Sep 24 2003

The underlying system discussed in this paper appears to have many useful features for supporting group activities, such as distributed meetings requiring attention to Web pages, and typical office objects, such as spreadsheets and documents. The system is in at least its second generation, since the authors claim that the new version of it was created in response to user feedback. The problem is that this paper is not at all adequate for understanding and appreciating the application. At a minimum, the paper needs some illustrations showing sample displays and narratives of the actions taken by the participants in a typical meeting. It would also be useful to compare the system to products on the market.
