It has a logical progression from shooting footage to producing a short movie for the Web. There are also chapters concerned with capturing video and importing files, collections and projects, transitions, editing clips, and saving and sharing videos.

Many illustrations, figures, computer screens, checklists, and tips are contained in the book. For example, there are tips with illustrations about keeping the camera steady while moving about, as well as a number of troubleshooting tips for problems with saving movies.
